July 1997:
Sashimi Sushi® opens for business at 2710 Barnet Highway in Coquitlam, British Columbia.
August 1998:
We establish sushi lessons in various community centres throughout the Lower Mainland.
September 1998:
Our catering division is launched as Terry Fox Secondary School in Port Coquitlam, BC incorporates our sushi into their lunch program. (story is published in the Vancouver Sun).
July 1999:
Sashimi Sushi® expands its production to meet the wholesale needs of our clients: Aramark, Cara, Compass Group, HMS Host, as well as hospitals, schools, the Vancouver International Airport, and others.
September 1999:
Production begins for exclusive sauces and dressings for the retail market.
May 2000:
Sashimi Sushi®'s California roll recipe is published in the 2000 KCTV cookbook.
October 2000:
Our first retail outlet opens in Lougheed Town Centre in Coquitlam, BC.
April 2001:
Sashimi Sushi® is awarded the North American distributorship for the AUTEC line of sushi production equipment from Japan.
July 2001:
Our second retail outlet opens in Park Royal North in West Vancouver, BC.
May 2002:
Our dynamite roll recipe is published in the 2002 PBS cookbook.
January 2003:
Our executive chef, Robert Peck, appears on the CTV show, City Cooks with Simi Sara.
March 2003:
Our third retail outlet opens in Surrey, BC.
October, 2003:
Sashimi Sushi® expands to four retail outlets by opening our Cloverdale location.
July 2004:
We open an outlet in the Hanahreum Supermarket to promote our catering service and sales of signature products.
March 2005:
The first Sashimi Sushi® franchise store is launched.
July 2005:
We expand our menu to include a lunch-box combo (Bentoh).
A fifth retail outlet is opened in Coquitlam Centre in Coquitlam, BC.
July 2006:
Sashimi Sushi® moves from the Barnet Highway location to our new production headquarters at #328-332, 17 Fawcett Road, Coquitlam, BC. We also open our first food court outlet in Park Royal South.
September 2006:
"Heat-and-Serve" lunches are introduced to various school cafeterias.
November 2011:
The plant of Sashimi Sushi moves to 22060 River Road, Maple Ridge to accommodate the larger volume of food production.
